One case in particular will be that of Cheryl Ann Scherer, who went missing nearly 29 years ago from Scott County, Missouri.

Cheryl went to work on Tuesday, April 17, 1979, at Rhodes 101 in Scott City, MO. Scherer had been employed there for over a year, and was considered a model employee. Sometime between 11:40 & 11:50AM, she was abducted from the business. Scherer’s car, keys, and purse were left at the scene. The business was able to determine that $480 in cash was missing from the cash register.

“After so many years, these cases fade from the public’s radar, but for the families and friends of the missing, the nightmare continues — every minute of every day their loved one is missing,” said CUE Founder Monica Caison, who is leading the caravan of volunteers. “We are traveling across the country to make sure no case fades from memory. And we will come to Sikeston to remind everyone that Cheryl Scherer, Jody Ledkins, along with other’s are still missing and their loved ones are searching for a resolution. They need our help and the community’s help to bring them home.”
